Choosing the right profile size...
With such a diverse range of Aluminium extrusion profiles available, it can be difficult to decide what profile size or type is the right one for your needs. This page provides a brief guide to each profile type, advising which applications they are best-suited to.
profiles with 6mm slot
Aluminium extrusion profiles with 6mm grooves are ideal for lightweight constructions such as tripods and laboratory fixtures. 20x40 and 20x60 profiles are particularly suitable for reinforcing, while the 20x40x40 profile is ideal for constructing showcases, shelves and housings.
profiles with 8mm slot
Aluminium extrusion profiles with 8mm grooves are designed for the construction of medium-stress applications, such as trolleys, light-weight appliances, frames and partitions. The 30x60x60 profile can be used to create showcases and shelves, while attractive hoods and covers are attractively built with radius profiles.

Bosch Rexroth now offers 40mm and 50mm profiles to supplement the Aluminium extrusions with 45mm dimensions, the profile range now covering all conventional profile dimensions available in the World market. L strut profiles give high strengths using a minimum of material, providing a cost-effective and stable solution for constructing structure such as tables, protective enclosures or frames.

Aluminium extrusion profiles with 10mm slots are recommended for applications with high loads. This includes the construction of heavy work benches,appliances, machine frames, transport shuttles, protective enclosures and handling systems. Maximum strength connections are possible because of its sturdy design.

ADM uses profiles with 10mm slot for many of its own machine structures, barriers and industrial frameworks.
special profiles
We stock a range of special profiles designed for the construction of protective barriers, partitions, sliding doors, conveyor sections and shelving. Each can easily be combined with Aluminium extrusion strut profiles, possessing the same external and groove dimensions as the standard profile range.
